Cabgolin 0.5 - Cabergoline

The effectiveness of cabergoline in 50 men with psychogenic erectile dysfunction was evaluated in a 4-month, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study using validated psychological tests as well as prolactin, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone and testosterone serum. Treatment with cabergoline was well tolerated and resulted in normalization of hormone levels in most cases. Significant interactions between prolactin and testosterone serum concentrations were observed in the cabergoline-treated group. Erectile function improved significantly. The patient's and his partner's sexual desire, orgasmic function, and sexual satisfaction were also improved. Cabergoline can be an effective and safe alternative remedy for men with psychogenic ED.
